This hook has a straight point for instant pricking of
the mouth but unlike the Shortshank Nailer has a longer curved shank and
a slight down eye. The longer shank accentuates a rapid rotation of the
hook upon ejection. The angle of the point in relation to the eye is
perfectly proportioned for a strong hook held under tension. The point
is slightly offset to further aid instant pricking of the mouth. An
excellent hook for snaggy and weedy situations and if extended with a
fine shrink tube into a longer gradual curve this hook is exceptional.
